Canada Cords Guidelines

• Provide recipient's name, Unit, District, Division, and Area to your Area Public Relations Adviser by the deadline requested
• Ensure there is a Canada Cord, completed certificate and the appropriate folder for each recipient and brought to the presentation
• Encourage recipients to be at the presentation at the appropriate time to allow for instructions and organization for the ceremony
• Stress the importance of wearing their full uniform for such an important occasion
• Usually the Canada Cord reception is hosted by Her Honour at Government House and numbers are limited dependent on the number of recipients. Dress for Government House is Business Attire (shirt/ tie or dress shirt - no T-shirts, jeans) It takes a lot of organization for the Canada Cord Ceremony and Presentation and with your assistance this day can be very special for the recipients and their families.
