BC Aliza, Chaim and Tova Kornfeld Scholarship Application Form

The scholarship was established be the Kornfeld family to assist Guiding Members enrolled in a professional post graduate school in Canada. For more than 30 years Tova Kornfeld has been the Honourary Legal Counsel for Girl Guides of Canada, BC Council. Eligibility

To be eligible for this grant, the applicant must:

• Be an active member in good standing of Girl Guides of Canada.
• Have been an active member in BC Guiding for the last five years.
• Be entering or continuing in a professional post graduate school in Canada.

Requirements

• This scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is entering or continuing in a professional post graduate school. If no suitable application is received, the scholarship will not be presented for that year.
• A member can only win this scholarship once. Applicants who are not successful can reapply.
• This scholarship is conditional upon acceptance at the institution of the recipient’s choice and will be awarded only when proof of registration (in the form of a receipt for tuition paid), the recipient’s Social Insurance Number and a recent headshot photograph of yourself in Guiding uniform, that is in colour and is high-resolution, have been received by the provincial awards committee.
• This scholarship must be used within 12 months of the date of notification.
• Successful applicants may receive only one adult bursary, grant or scholarship per year.
• The recipient is encouraged to continue her involvement in Guiding.

LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
